10 Minute Hamburger Rice Casserole
This casserole made with savoury Minute Rice® Mexican Rice can do double-time as an entrée, and you can double the ingredients for a party dish.
Step 1
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
Step 2
Add the onions and cook, stirring until they start to soften (about 3 minutes).
Step 3
Add the beef, oregano and salt and cook, breaking up the meat up into small pieces as it browns. Cook for 5 minutes or until meat is cooked through.
Step 4
Meanwhile, heat the rice according to package instructions.
Step 5
Press the rice into the bottom of a baking dish to form the crust.
Step 6
Spread the cooked hamburger meat on top of the rice.
Step 7
Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and place under the broiler to melt the cheese.
Step 8
Serve with tortilla chips and Pico de Gallo.
