20 Minute Aromatic Asian Style Fried Rice
Step 1
Heat rice according to package directions.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, turmeric and 1 tbsp of water. Set aside.
Step 3
Heat vegetable oil in a large heavy skillet or wok over medium heat. Sauté garlic 30 seconds. Add pineapple, bell peppers, scallions, jalapeño pepper and snow peas and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
Step 4
Fold in cooked rice, shrimp and reserved sauce and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Garnish with cilantro.
Cooking Tip
Add in chili oil for more spice.
